ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST

I am someone who became a therapist because I was the client. I believe that the most important part of therapy is human connection and understanding, and I know firsthand how relieving it can be to connect with someone who understands your experience. As a therapist, I see you as the expert and take a supporting role in your journey, here to share resources and help you connect with the strengths and experiences within that will guide you toward the path that best honors your authentic self. No matter where you are in your journey, I am here for you with judgement-free, shame-free support. Whether you are looking for specific support or just feel lost and don’t know what you need yet, we can start wherever you are. I am comfortable sitting with you in your darkest spaces, celebrating your victories, sifting through overwhelm when everything feels like chaos, laughing about how ridiculous life can be sometimes, and everything in-between. Together, we can find what works best for you, no matter what that looks like.

As a transmasculine and autistic person, I deeply understand the importance of creating a safe and affirming space for neurodivergent people and members of the LGBTQ+ community to explore their identities and navigate the complexities of their lived experiences. My specialization in trauma therapy, coupled with my personal understanding of gender and sexuality diversity, allows me to offer uniquely empathetic and effective support to people seeking gender-affirming care, navigating burnout, and grappling with issues related to sexual and identity trauma. I am especially passionate about working with clients experiencing dissociation and intimacy issues, and have experience using Internal Family Systems and somatic techniques to help clients (especially trans and nonbinary adults) navigate fragmentation and heavily parts-driven behavior. I practice through a depth psychology lens informed by IFS, EMDR, and neural integration, and feel confident creating collaborative treatment frameworks that align with each client’s lived reality and perspective.

I began my career as an aerospace engineer specializing in complex systems and systems-of-systems. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech and worked for many years at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in robotic space exploration while processing my own inner healing journey on the side. I found that I was using many of my systems engineering skills in my trauma work, so once I reached a point where I felt secure and at peace within myself I decided to learn how to use those skills to help others find their unique path to inner peace as well. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and trained at The Coalition for Family Harmony, providing free and low-cost counseling for surivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and LGBTQ+ discrimination. I have extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and narcissistic abuse, as well as supporting others in the LGBTQ+ community with their growth and self-discovery journeys at any stage.

I believe that human connection is an important part of feeling safe, especially when sharing your most vulnerable feelings. It can be hard to open up to someone you don’t know, so here are a few things about me on a human level to break the ice: I am transmasculine, high-masking auDHD, love puzzles, am a huge video games and anime fan, grew up in The Netherlands, and my best friend is my big, lazy sheepadoodle named Bernoulli. I love exploring the best hidden gem restaurants in Los Angeles and have a passion for art history and speculative fiction. From one human on a lifelong healing journey to another, I would love to support you!
